Lakhani (2010) places emphasis on the financial implications of mental health on the economy, stating Britain’s 100bn mental health crisis and increasing. Moreover, there is an acknowledgement of moving towards a medical model by drawing on concerns of G.Ps being responsible for the commissioning service.
