Part One – On viewing the evidence it is believed that the main patterns in graphs are, council are as next to each other having some population changes with the 3 main cities Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen being of between -0% to 4% change in population. It also shows that areas neighbouring these cities are a higher population change possibly due to people moving for jobs but living just outside the cities where it has a lower living cost.
In contrast the graph (figure 2), shows evidence of lower births (-7%), more people moving to Scotland (+9%, +14%, +13%), with the exception of the 30-44 age group (-11%) and OAPs living longer (+14%). From this it would be believed that the lowered 30-44 age group is possibly due to emigration rather than deaths as the 60-74 and 75 and over groups have increased.
