In today’s society it is important to be able to recognise who is and who isnt a carer, so that the carer can receive help and support with any duties and tasks they may need to undertake and also to help them deal with, what can be a difficult situation, not only for them but also for the person that they are caring for. In my essay I will be looking at the case study of Maureen Gray and her mother Cathy. Maureen Gray is a single mother with two daughters, Amanda and Chloe. Maureen and her children live with Cathy due to the breakdown in Maureen’s marriage and also because Cathy needs help physically due to old age and also because she was involved in a road accident 6 months ago.
