The brain is responsible for all functions in the human body and biological psychologists have used different methods, techniques and experiments to study it. This essay will describe some of the methods such as brain surgery, brain damage, experimental lesions and also a non-invasive technique called Positron Emission Tomography (PET). It will be explained how these methods, along with examples to support them, are used to understand the relationship between the brain and behaviour (Toates, 2007).
