REGIONAL ISSUE RESEARCH PAPER
Each student will submit a written research report?background and analysis?on a contemporary event of interest to the study of International Relations. The research report will be four to five pages in length (Times New Roman, 12 pitch, 1.5 line spacing, 1-inch borders) and will meet the ?Analysis Requirements? describedbelow. Source materials must include at least one ?print? item. Citation of sources will be in accordance with either Modern Language Association (MLA) or American Psychological Association (APA) formats.
Each student must submit a brief statement of his/her desired research paper topic to the instructor not later than week 3 of the course, for instructor approval. (The sooner the topic is submitted and approved, the better!)
The completed research paper [worth 250 points] is due at the beginning of class, week 7.
During the final class session of the course, each student will be prepared to make a brief (no more than 5minutes) oral presentation on the regional/global significance of the event reported.
