Introduction
This paper examines the concept of change and how it is required for effective learning. From my studies throughout the module, I have selected tasks that I feel best examine the theories of change within both mathematical thinking and also mathematical teaching. I feel these to be most relevant to me because I wanted to question and test the ways I thought about maths, whilst challenging the ways that I delivered the contextual learning of the curriculum. Due to both my task and topic choices I can reflect upon learning techniques in relation to low attaining students, showing potential benefits that can be obtained from variation in learning methods.
