In accordance with the ethical guidelines written by BERA, the name of the children and teachers included in my research have been changed to protect their confidentiality.
My objective for this assignment is to explore the on-going process of inclusion and the challenges this presents in relation to my chosen child, his fellow peers and adults, whilst working together in the learning environment.
Jack is four years old and in a reception class, he is an outgoing friendly child who has recently been diagnosed with autism. In addition to this condition, Jack experiences some difficulty with his speech and language. Engaging in one to one time with Jack has allowed us to develop a strong and trusting relationship, which aids my role when providing additional support for his learning, both in and out of the classroom.
