Write a 2500 word essay (excluding references) on one of the following topics, drawing on one or more of the disciplinary perspectives (political /economic /political science / political economy) you have been exposed to in the course of this Unit of Study.

Malaysia and Singapore depend heavily on contract workers from elsewhere in Southeast Asia, including large numbers of women employed as live-in domestic help. Discuss the benefits and risks of this reliance on foreign labor in economic and social terms with reference to one or both of these countries.
Essays should be fully referenced and include a complete bibliography using the Chicago referencing system.
