In part 1 of TMA 03, I will be summarising the chapter by Draper and Duffy (2006) working with parents. In this chapter, they draw upon their work in Thomas Coram Childrens Centre in London. They look at the central importance of parents and practitioners working in partnership together in the early years settings. They also look at the benefits of working in partnership with parents. As well as summarising the chapter, my main focus will be on how Duffy and Draper implemented partnership into action at Thomas Coram.
