Intersectionality Through Feminist and Historical Perspectives
This essay explores the idea of intersectionality, which is used by feminists to describe the ways in which women can be in multiple spheres of oppression. It begins by exploring Audre Lorde’s vision of intersectional feminism, as expressed in her essay “The Master’s Tools…”, and looks at intersectionality through other feminist authors as well as historical examples, such as the Occupy Wall Street movement and the writings and ideas of Emma Goldman.
There are 7 references, including a “little-known” Irish Anarcho-Feminist zine called RAG (found here: http://artofinsurrection.blogspot.com/2010/06/rag-issues-2-3-zine.html). The essay is 1228 words in length and just over 4 pages before citations, title, and any other “guide” text. It is uploaded as a .doc file.
