This assignment is to look at the “people” side of a Quality Initiative on your topic of interest:

Clearly identify your topic/problem of interest (the one you selected in week one)in the opening paragraph.

Describe the authority structure of the proposed initiative’s implementation. This must describe who is responsible for implementing what portions of the plan.

Identify the lines of communication for the project.

What data must be collected to verify that the initiative is successful? Who will be responsible for collection, analysis and reporting of the data.

Who will be responsible for reviewing reports to identify if the initiative is successful? If implementation or performance issues are identified who will be responsible to initiate corrective actions and what might they be?

What education of staff and other will be necessary for success of the initiative? This may be education on the chosen QI methodology or education on proposed processes.

What external entities–governmental agencies, accrediting bodies, professional interest groups–might be involved with the quality initiative and how. Cite at least four sources to support your information.
