In my opinion, the most important piece of advice that Washington gave was to observe good faith and justice towards all nations. By doing this it would create peace and harmony with everyone. He was all about having peace between the nations. He came up with the best formula for keeping peace with everyone they came in contact with. His formula was to discourage the enemy from attack by making sure that they knew that America was ready for war. Washington broke this in to two different parts. The first is to be ready for war and the second it that the enemy must know you are ready for war. Washington believed that this was the key in keeping peace among the nations.

According to Washington, Americans were to maintain unity and devotion to the ideals of the American Revolution. He constantly counseled his soldiers to put their faith and trust in God. Washington believed that asking for God’s help in every aspect of life was necessary. So I believe that Americans stayed unified because of Washington’s leadership in not only a political way but also in a religious way. He knew how to lead his troops and how to reassure them that the fate of millions of people was in the hands of God. He has total control of everything. He knows exactly how everything is going to end up and they just needed to trust that He knew what He was doing. If it was God’s will, they would get through the terrible times.
