Part 1: The technologies

The client-side will feature JavaScript providing dynamic content, allowing users to fill in forms as well as providing validation for the Join Us page.

JavaScript is a client-side script, which controls a web page at the client side once it has downloaded.

The server-side technologies will consist of PHP used to create interactive, web sites. This will be used to bring records to the Results page working in functionality with MySQL which is a Relational Database Management System that uses the popular Structured Query Language (SQL) (outofthetrees, 2015). It is perfect for the OURC site as the database functionality will allow for the runners records to be stored.
