Introduction

The purpose of this report is to prove that Izzys Ice, a diabetic (or sugar-free) ice cream shop would be successful were it to open in the United Arab Emirates. The interest in a diabetic ice cream shop will be proven through secondary research on diabetes, diabetes in the UAE, and other successful sugar-free ice cream ventures. There will also be primary research provided analysed results further confirming the interest and potential for such an ice cream shop to be successfully opened in the United Arab Emirates. This report also aims to prove the seriousness of the current diabetes epidemic in the UAE and provide statistics as proof.
