When an emergency occurs, even at the most prepared business, being able to respond effectively is
critical. The type and nature of the emergency that can occur vary widely. Preparedness takes many
forms, responding to a medical emergency is different than responding to a natural disaster.
As Chief Security Officer (CSO) you will be responsible for the care of the corporate Emergency
Response Plan whose purpose is to document the level of preparedness in the event of an emergency
regardless of the type.
Please describe the importance of the Emergency Management Team (EMT), having an Emergency Control
Center (ECC) and an Incident Command Center (ICC).
How does your organization determine what type(s) of emergency they prepare for?. Does Risk Avoidance
play a part in the decision process. Finally, how does probability and criticality influence your
overall emergency plan ?
