For your final project, you will write a three-page paper comparing and analyzing articles from all three issues of the Times through the lens of what you’ve learned about New York in this course. You are required to analyze how articles from each of the three editions relate to at least one of the major course themes described below:

Immigration and the Immigrant Experience
Diversity
New York as a city of neighborhoods
Urbanization and urban planning
New York as a city that adapts to change
New York as a Global City
In addition, you may also compare a single topic from all three of your issues. For example, you may focus on fashion, entertainment, crime, politics, immigration, housing, policing, city life, etc. You might use wedding announcements or advertisements – whatever you choose.
You are encouraged to use specific examples from articles in your analysis. Make sure that you cite any references to specific articles in your paper.
