CHOICE 1: Select a book written for educated adults and pertinent to the subject matter of this course. Your job is to read the book critically and compose an 8-10 page review of the book. Your review should be typed, following APA style guidelines, and be double-spaced.
The format of the review should be:
a. A brief synopsis of the contents of the book, (1 – 1½ pages)
b. Critical analysis of the book (5-7 pages). Critical analysis will come from applying information from the course materials, from this course, from your personal observations and experiences (while I expect you to use your observations and experiences as one source of information to analyze the book, do NOT use personal experiences and observations as the sole or main source of your critical analysis) and from the rest of your college coursework, and
c. An assessment of the value of the book for persons interested in thanatology (1 – 1½ pages). Give reasons to support your assessment.
