PosterPresentationGuidelines As part of the Capstone Project, students are required to create an electronic poster presentationhighlightingthe results of their project. Posters will be presented during Week 7 of the course via a Moodle DiscussionBoard
Forum.
Please review the following information in order to prepare your poster presentation. Your poster presentation is worth 15% of your total grade. Grades and feedback will be available within seven (7) days of initial posting.
- You must produce ONE single PowerPoint (PPT) slideonly.
- The slide can remain in PPT format or be converted to pdfformat.
- Use the PPT poster template provided as is, modify it, or do an online search and find another one. (Thereare additional resourcesprovided.
- Make your title short to summarize the message of theproject.
- The reading order of the poster should be down columns, rather than acrossrows.
- Use just two colors on a plain colored background for maximumimpact.
- Use as large a font aspossible.
- Avoid capital letters except at the beginning of sentences and propernouns.
- Use standard Windowsfont Times New Roman.
- Do not underlineanything.
- Use a bolder, larger typeface for the main titles and headings. It can be effective to use a different typefacefor headings andsubheadings.
- To emphasize body text, use a bold or italicfont.
- Prepare your work well in advance and ensure that it is submitted ontime.
- Check the draft of your poster very carefully to ensure there are no typographical or styleerrors.
- The intention is to produce a professional presentation poster that can be used at your facility should you be invited topresent.
- Do NOT include the abstract on theposter.
- Headings should be:
- Problem or Need for Change/Practice Change
- Appraisal of Evidence
- ResolutionStrategy
- Implementation Plan
- Evaluation Method
- Process to Disseminate Findings
- References
- Cite only the references used in the actual poster presentation. In the Reference column, use APA format. Do not indentreferences.
- Citations can be indicated using APA style or superscript references.
