Classroom Photo-Essay

Take a series of photographs that convey something about how literacy is instructed and used in the classroom in which you work. Include such images as: the arrangement of desks, displays of books and other reading materials, areas set aside for different kinds of literacy activities, literacy stations, anchor charts, displays of student work, etc. The focus should be on the literacy environment, not the children. (If there are any children in the pictures, they cannot be identifiable ñ No faces!)

Create a collage by selecting and describing six to eight photographs that you feel give the best view of the classroom literacy environment.
