PART TWO: Michelangelo: Sacred and Profane Exhibition
3) As you walk around the Michelangelo exhibition, consider the space in which it is displayed. How did the curators (the people who designed the exhibition) organize the space? How are the drawings arranged? How do the color, light and room size affect your experience of the art?_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
4) Look carefully at one of the figure studies or drawings of heads. How does the artist create a sense of three dimensions? Do you think he studied the figures by observing a model or looking at other art? Why do you think so?

5) Choose one of the drawings, and try to sketch it here or on another sheet of paper. You do not need to do a professional drawing, but try to include detail and some shading. This should take you at least 5-10 minutes. As you draw, make sure that you are allowing other museum visitors to see Michelangelo’s work.
6) How effective, enjoyable, or informative was the exhibition? If you had designed it, what would you do differently? What would you incorporate?
