Your job will be to tell me who owns Expedia.com, the
most successful OTA, and what other brands are in the Expedia.com corporate family tree. Also, give me some background or history of the company. To do this research, you will need to search on Expedia, Inc., not Expedia.com (see “Read This” below for tips on how to effectively research this).

2. If you dig deep enough, you will find out who the current Chairman and Senior Executive of Expedia, Inc. is…who is a very colorful, wealthy and well-connected character. Tell me about him…including who he is married to. He is also the Chairman and Senior Executive of another very important media group. What is it? This guys is well-connected and well paid!!

3. Your answer should include both a written description of what you find, accompanied by the logos of the brands in the Expedia.com corporate family tree. Just copy and paste them from the Internet into your Word doc.

4. Lastly, be sure to tell me what you learned from this exercise that was surprising (i.e., reflect on what you learned?

The instructor recommended we also use the Hoover’s Database to pull some info from. Not sure if you have access to this database
