The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate your understanding of the product/market expansion grid, also known as the Ansoff Matrix,

and your ability to use it on a corporate level.

Overview
Earlier in the course, you used the Ansoff matrix in a personal way to assess risk based on possibilities associated with your

professional development. In this assignment, you will use the Ansoff Matrix to consider different approaches to corporate growth.

1. Go to quickmba.com and reread/review the information about the Ansoff Matrix.
2. Then go to mindtools.com and reread/review the information about the Ansoff Matrix there. Read the corporate example given on the

website.
3. At mindtools.com, download the Corporate Ansoff worksheet.
4. Select any company for this assignment. This can be any real company but the more you know about the company, the better. Assume

that this company is considering ways to grow.
5. Analyze what you know about the company.
6. Describe how you think the company should use the strategy of each quadrant in the Ansoff matrix to grow. Limit your discussion of

three of the strategies to the quadrant space on the template and use an extra sheet of paper for the 4th quadrant in a more extensive

discussion. You may choose which quadrant to discuss in more detail.
