As part my personal project, I carried out a number of lesson observation on 3high functioning ASD students Rory aged 10, Oliver aged 11, and Ahmad aged 13. The aim of

the research was to monitor their levels of engagement with and without iPads.

Students were observed in class WITHOUT using any iPads or ICT , and then whilst engaged in game based learning, using the iPad App Maths Blasters in a small room at

the back of their classroom with the researcher.
The Maths Blaster app was played at the intermediate multiplication level (3 times tables only e.g 3×3=9 or 3×5=15). The following excel observation grids will show

the results obtained.
The first 2 grids were purely pilot studies of 20minutes after which it was decided to shorten the length of asd student the exposure time as the students were

completely off task by 15 minutes.
The control group carried on engaged for longer.

The students were interviewed before exposure to the Maths Blaster App. Teachers were interviewed after. (all transcripts provided)
One final questionnaire was presented to the 3 students a month after the observations had occured.

I need the observation grid results analysed using **SPSS programme** used in Psychology. Producing histograms and bar charts and one more key valid test to be run (a

reason valid MUST be provided for the key test chosen).

The interviews should also be tabulated and analysed and discussed with a good solid critical conclusion, referring to the other essay I ordered on Game based

learning.

This research has two phases 1. comparison of class behaviour of 3 ASD students with and without iPads ( in mathematics ) and
2. Three separate interventions with each compared to 3 controls (same data /sessions) – the control group of typically developing (9year olds) exposed to the Maths

blasters app also at the same level i.e intermediate multiplication level (3 times tables only e.g 3×3=9 or 3×5=15)
