* In this assignment, you will choose one industry at your own discretion and analyze the current situation of the industry based on Porter’s five forces framework.
* On July 19, you will have an opportunity to learn to use various online databases such as Mergent online, Hoover’s online, ABI/Inform Trade & Industry, Business

Source Premier etc. These databases provide both qualitative and quantitative information useful for your industry analysis.
* You will also review quantitative analytical skills on July 19. I intend to give detailed review on group comparison skills, p-value, and hypothesis setting. In case

* The format of this report is as follows: The first page should be cover page including industry title and your name. The second page should include executive

summary. The following seven to ten pages should include your assessment of the industry based on Porter’s five force analysis. The next page should be your

interpretation on statistical analysis on the industry with the result table followed in the next page. The last page must include citations.
* Citations are very important. They show that your arguments are supported by the established facts or other people’s arguments. Follow APA guideline for citations.
