History

Throughout this course we will discuss the Origins of the Western Legal Tradition. We will take a tour through history and examine how the evolution of the West and its societies, cultures, politics, leaders, religion and even the personalities of individual people have shaped our Legal Systems, Legal Thoughts, and Philosophies.

Please write an introduction to your final paper that summarizes this “tour” and explain to your reader what you believe to be the most significant influences on the development of the United States Western Legal Tradition. Your outline should be on how we as a Legal Culture arrived where we are today but at least some time should be spent on what direction you believe we are now heading and why.
