Evaluating a Research Report
Research is an essential ingredient in the scholar practitioner model. Without research, it would be impossible to determine which counseling approaches are most appropriate for particular issues or for particular groups of people. However, regardless of the quality of a research effort, the manner in which the information is reported can determine if the information ever reaches the world of practice.
The development of a quality research report requires an extensive knowledge of the research process and the ability to relate complex information in a clear and logical fashion. In this Discussion, you evaluate the strengths and limitations of a completed research report/dissertation.
With these thoughts in mind:
Post by Day 4 a brief description of the report/dissertation that you selected from the Learning Resources. Be sure to include the research question and a basic description of the results. Then, post an evaluation of the report in terms of format and common errors.
