ENGL- Synthesis Paper

Paper instructions:
Identify a research issue for the semester’s inquiry. Analyze and compare two research sources, putting them into conversation, “A synthesis is discussion that forges a connection between the arguments of two or more authors” (Greene and Lidinsky 152).

You have two options for your Synthesis Paper:

Analyze, compare and contrast two scholarly articles/sources.
Compare one scholarly article with the results of primary research.
Primary research should consist of an observation or an interview with an authority or expert on your research topic.
Because of legal reasons, students are not allowed to conduct surveys, experiments, or interviews with students and/or members of the general public. Research of this nature must be approved of by the University Institutional Review Board.
After reading/gathering your two sources, you need to have a single thesis (based on an observation you made from your research) that is supported by your two sources.
