Each student will sign up to do a 5‐minute presentation on an object of cultural and/or personal meaning. Students will bring the object to class, briefly identify and describe it, and provide historical or cultural context to help classmates understand its cultural and/or personal meaning and significance. Students should prepare and supply a 1‐page handout with key points on it, and be prepared to answer questions from classmates and the instructor.
