2.    Review the media 2.2 Resource: Defenses.
3.    Use reliable Internet sites (legal databases such asLexis, Westlaw, FindLaw, Nolo, or Google

Scholar, not news sites) to locate and research three legal cases that illustrate the use of the following

defenses:
a.    Criminal responsibility
b.    Justification and excuse
c.    Deadly force and self-defense
4.    Write a summary of each case, describing the case and the type of defense used.  Next, explain

the defense in your own words, as if you were talking to a friend.  Cite the reference(s) you used to

obtain the case information.
5.    Your responses for all three cases should total one to two pages in length.
6.    Be sure to include any references you cite in correct APA format.
