At least three references to Ehreneich(summary paraphrase quotation)(MLA)
Three Sources(Nickle and Dimed and two other academic sources)
EN131E: Essay #2
Think about your future job. You will be writing about the job you dream of having. What is important to
you about the job you want to have? Is the work you would be doing most important? Is the way others
would view you in this job most important? is money most important? A combination of these things?
Using Nickel and Dimed and two other sources (one that refers to the job you would like to have and
one that refers to a low wage cleaning/maid job), compare and contrast your dream job and the effect
you hope it has on your life with what Ehrenreich writes about working, especially in “Scrubbing in
Maine”. How does being a maid affect her and her coworkers? Compare and contrast this with your
dream job and how you want to feel when you finally have it.
