Introduction:
Shades of Grey: The Case of Folole Muliaga
There are instances, as in Week 3, in which an individual or corporation make obvious and purposive unethical (and often illegal)
choices at key decision points along the way. However, there are also times in which the situation is much less clear, and there is no
evidence that any of the decision-makers in the case were conscious that the choices they made involved moral choices as well. These
types of situations are often overlooked in an examination of ethics, but are quite important to review and consider. It is these
types of cases that we as managers and leaders may very well face.
