c. What were your goals going into the speech?
d. What were your major concerns going into the speech?
2) Introduction
a. How did you gain the audience’s attention? Was it effective?
b. How did you create a bond with the audience and connect with them? Did the audience seem

interested and engaged in the presentation?
3) Body
a. What was your thesis? How did you communicate the central point of your speech to the audience?
b. What were your main points? Were they clear and distinct? Did you clearly preview your main points

before moving into the body of the presentation?
c. How did you transition between main points? Were your transitions smooth and effective?
4) Conclusion
a. How did you signal to the audience that your speech was ending? Did you clearly restate your major

points?
b. How did you conclude the speech? Did it provide a clear note of finality?
5) Delivery
a. Comment on your delivery skills regarding speaking extemporaneously, enthusiasm, eye contact,

movement/gestures, vocal variety.
b. Comment on your preparation, creation and use of visual aids
c. Comment on your credibility as a speaker. What did you do to build credibility with your audience?

What did you do that took away from your credibility?
6) Reflection
a. What did you like best about your speech?
b. What do you want to improve for your next presentation?
c. How will you go about making the improvements?
d. How can I assist you in getting ready for the next speech?
