There are many theories about how social order is produced and reproduced in social life.
In this essay I would like to present two sociologists Ervin Goffman and Michel Foucault. Both Goffman and Foucault have contributed to the development of social theory and this essay will compare their influence specifically concentrating on their study of performance, interaction and so on in everyday life. In order to understand how social order was imaginable, Goffman analysed the ways in which individuals are established in face-to-face interactions, Foucault examined society over practises and situation. This essay will also compare the power of the development of their ordering theory approaches.
