The Factory is a detached youth work project for young people in Loughborough, aimed at working on the streets primarily with young Aisan men. It was funded by the local LEA in recognition that the needs of young Aisan men werent being met. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for young people to broaden their horizons, be creative, develop their potential and establish challenge (DVD Guide, The Open University, p. 5). The workers have provided many activities for young people to engage in. One of which is Vox Pop a youth forum for the local council. On the DVD Kaswar describes this as something he thought wouldnt really be beneficial (The Factory, Audio, Band 2).
