Compare and contrast two theories which illuminate the medias role in defining social disorder.

Social order and disorder are defined and constructed by society and how as individuals we interact and coordinate with each other in the places we live. We cohere to rules and behave in an orderly way within the constructs of law, social policy and ideology. Social interactions exist on various levels and social order comes from peoples understanding of how interaction should proceed and the rules and customs that we share. Social Order and disorder can be seen all around us and the two co-exist, communities can experience disorder without a collapse, policing helps society to deal and punish with those behaving in a disorderly way.
