1. Introduction
This report will examine the challenges to expert knowledge in understanding and managing risk. This report will briefly look at the definition of risk. It will look at two case studies. It will also discuss how the understanding of risk is influence by expert knowledge and how risk is managed using expert knowledge.
2. Risk in our lives
The definition of risk as Simon Carter and Tim Jordan put it is a state in which there is a possibility of known danger or harm which if avoided may lead to benefits (Simon Carter and Tim Jordan, pg 59). Risk are a part of everyones life and people tend to live with grave risks in everyday life.
