What does social history tell us about the concepts of youth and youth crime?

Our perception and understanding of youth has adjusted considerably over time. The development of constructions have steadily become more complex as rising numbers of theories have become interconnected with theories of youth and have been made distinct from theories of adulthood. Furthermore youth crime is an ever expanding phenomenon which has attracted vast amount of research in an attempt to provide an explanation as to what could be the causal factor for the high levels of juvenile delinquencies.
