1.1 – Supervision is the construction of individualised learning plans for the supervisees working with clients. The manner in which supervision is applied is called a model.
There are three types of models which are:
Development models
Integrative models
Orientation- specific models.
Developmental Model
The developmental model can also be linked with the concept of life- long learning as it views individuals as in a state of continuous development.
This is fundamental to the idea of person centred development. After the supervisor and supervisee have set the ground rules during the first session, the process is an ongoing process. This should not necessitate the need to structure or set predetermined agendas and should be allowed to flow naturally.
