This assignment will consider the accuracy of the claim that globalisation in cultural terms for many people outside the Europe and North America is seen as westernisation. Modern sociology developed three theories explaining further that phenomenon. The approach of globalists is that globalisation is a real phenomenon, which develops one unified world that is not effortlessly controlled by the nation-states. The theory of inter-nationalists see globalization more as an event happening regionally and not as significant as the globalists claim. The third approach- transformationalists see the problem as more complex and argue that nation-states still remain powerful.
