The aim of this study was to find and show whether Timber Frame Housing provides a time effective solution in comparison to other traditional methods of house construction.
This was done with the employment of three objectives, and three different research techniques.
Objective 1 was to show the advantages that timber frame housing has in respect to other traditional methods of construction, this was done while exploring how timber frame is indeed constructed, and also by analysing some professional views on this method in the literature review.
Objective 2 was to gain time comparisons of timber frame construction and masonry construction within similar projects, this was achieved via case studies, time comparisons were achieved, and the advantages in terms of time that timber frame construction held was apparent.
