“The Management of an Altered Health Condition in Pregnancy. (Pregnancy induced hypertension – PIH)”

This assignment will utilise a decision making model to analyse and explore a decision made in midwifery practice. It will focus upon the care of a woman that I encountered whilst working in the day care unit and the altered health state that she presented with. The physiology of the condition will be explored, the management undertaken by the midwife and the inter professional team will also be discussed. Current midwifery practice with reference to informed consent, accountability and advocacy will be considered….(short extract)
