Perform an Assessment on child (preschool aged) Using SEAM social Emotional Assessment Evaluation Measure

Paper is to be Double Spaced and must address an assessment done by (me) on a preschool aged student for social emotional assessment. This can be a made up scenario and is for a Special Education Class. However, all aspects of the assessment need to be real tests that are given and I have chosen SEAM to do the evaluation. I would make up a student around 3-4 years old with some minor emotional issues. (5 points)

An interview must be done with the “family” of the student being assessed and must ask at least five questions related to their child’s abilities in the skill area being assessed and provide 2-4 paragraphs summarizing the information collected by the interview with the family.(10 pints)

Must write a 2-3 page OBJECTIVE summary of each part of the assessment results including the successful and unsuccessful test items. (20 points)

Must write 1-2 page objective recommendations list for the student including strengths, needs, parental concerns and next step instructions in the targeted area. Only needs to address the area(s) assessed (20 points)

Must write a 2-3 page SUBJECTIVE report on the process of completing this assignment. Addressing all components of the project and write about what went well and what was hard and what would be done differently next time. Give overall thoughts on this type of assessment as a tool for gathering information about a student. This is the only part of the paper that may use personal opinions and be subjective and reflective. (20 points)
