This statement gives a good insight into the reasons why I chose to study Psychology – to try and understand myself better, because at times I truly wonder at why and wherefore I behave and feel in certain ways. Probably the most enlightening psychological concept in terms of helping me understand myself better is the 16 MBTI (Myers & Briggs’ Type Indicator). I researched this area extensively and determined the personality type of myself – INTP, which stands for Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Perceiving. I was fascinated at how true of me were the descriptions of the INTP’s personality traits.
