Home care of today is different to the home help service provided years ago, which mainly involved general housework chores, but just how has it changed? My intention is to establish this by using examples from Block 1 to discuss what is now involved in the role of a paid care worker and to highlight some of the challenges experienced by such staff.

Paid care workers of today are definitely not just there to provide help with housework.
