In this essay I will represent and outline the argument that rubbish is not worthless in todays society as the Making Social Lives material has raised some intriguing points and facts that support the valubility of what we perceive as rubbish whether it is household, recycled or just general food waste that we accumulate.

Rubbish is known to many people as worthless, it is what nobody wants, it is disvalued, so it has zero value (Brown, 2009, p105) but we can see it has value somewhere through the usefulness of things we collect and this then becomes revalued and valued to having some worth and we then see the value that it truly has.
