Choose ONE of the following projects to complete for the project portion of Chapter 12.
If you choose option #1, you MAY work in groups of TWO (2). Both students will receive the same grade if you choose to work with a partner.
Option #1:
Create the Koch Island Fractalto 3 steps AND a Tessellation of the fractal.
Step by Step instructions are provided for creating the fractal, answering indicated questions and the tessellation.
OR
Option #2:
Create your OWN fractal/ fractal art using digital software
There are many websites that provide information and software that allow you to create your own fractal/fractal art.
You art to create a fractal and provide details of your process, any formulas or software used, and evaluate your fractal with regards to the properties of self-similarity.
Include a review of the software/website used. Was it difficult or easy? Did you learn from it? Did you learn anything new about fractals? etc.
Provide a printout of your fractal in all its glory!
