Goal: Write a paper describing the alignment of espoused and perceived-practiced values, and make recommendations for how (if needed) it can be resolved.
Format Requirements: The paper is to be clear and concise, and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The paper is to be no shorter than four pages nor longer than six pages (typed, double-spaced). The student will automatically lose points if these guidelines are not followed. The four-page minimum does not include the cover page, reference page, or any diagrams, graphs, tables, pictures, charts, etc., that are not pure written text. Citations should be referenced according to APA style. Please follow the following requirements when submitting your paper:
Include an abstract.
Employ at least six additional resources beyond the required readings.
Content Requirements: Václav Havel, former president of the Czechoslovakian Republic, understands the importance of core values in sustaining social institutions. It can be argued that organizations require the same values focus. Keep this in mind as you work through this paper. For this paper, you will have to consider yourself or your leader and three to five of your/his/her followers/employees. (The leader can be an external client or an internal client within your current organization.) Think about your/his/her values for the organization. Ask the followers/employees to state the perceived values of the leader (you or your leader) as demonstrated in the workplace. Then write a paper describing the alignment of espoused and perceived-practiced values, and make recommendations for how (if needed) it can be resolved. Show evidence and support for your claim(s).

Week 2 Discussion 2: Relationship between personal and Institutional values
Andy Grove, cofounder of the Intel Corporation, posits that “values have to change” in order for organizational success to be realized. Should organizations regularly change their core values? While not required for this dialogue, this is an interesting question to consider. For this discussion, please focus your dialogue on the following question: what is the relationship between personal (individual) and institutional values and effective organizational change? Support your observation by illustrating the elements of successful organizational change and the role of values in leading change.Your post must be at least 250 words, formatted and cited in proper APA style with support from at least 2 academic sources.
