In the course project you will develop the documents and materials needed to staff a new line of clothing for the company you selected in W1 Assignment 2. Use research from the class lectures, your textbooks, other books, websites, articles, and other relevant sources. It is recommended that one of the outside sources be the website for the Society for Human Resource Management. In addition, each week of the class, review the suggested reading list in the Readings and Assignments area.

Tasks:

To begin your staffing plans, you will consider the task of hiring a buyer for the new line of clothing for the store. Do the following:

Conduct a job analysis for the buyer position and discuss the basic functions and scope of the job along with a detailed description of five duties performed by the buyer.
Write a job description for the buyer position, including the job brief, at least five responsibilities, and at least five requirements (see Appendix G in your course textbook for an example of a job description).
Describe at least three ways of recruiting the right candidate for this position. Explain why you think these three are appropriate for recruiting for this position. Support your arguments with research.
