Homogeneous And Heterogeneous System

A system is homogeneous when it is completely uniform throughout or it consists of only one phase. A system is heterogeneous when it is not uniform throughout or which consists of two or more phases.
Properties of a system:
a.) Extensive property of a system depends upon the amount of substances present in the system. E,g Volume, Mass, Internal energy
b.) Intensive property of a system does not depend upon the amount of substances present in the system E.g density , Molar entropy, capacity
