Hamlet

A comparison/contrast between a Drama in Two Filmed stage Productions or between a filmed stage production and a filmed dramatic adaptation.
After reading, annotating and journaling ch. 17 “Reading Writing About Plays”, pp. 431-443, ch.24 “Innocence and Experience: Thinking Critically: A case study on writing arguments about Hamlet” pg.867-992 and reviewing ch. 7 “Reading Literature Closely : Analysis, (Comparison) pp. 157-164; having read and annotated the written play Hamlet on pp. 878-982 and journaled the critical thinking and writing questions on 980-82 and watch the RCS (Tennant) production in class and for review on Canvas. Prewrite, draft, revise and edit a documented essay of 7-8 pages comparing and contrasting some aspect ( a principal character or relationship, soliloquy, or symbol, for production values such s casting, acting, gestures, setting/staging) of the Tennant Hamlet with another filmed stage production, i.e The Oliver Hamlet (also in canvas) or the BBC-Time/Life (Jacobi) Hamlet or Branagh’s Hamlet film adaptation (these 2 on 3- hour reserve in the library’s AV dept.) Using the 8th edition MLA format, cite from the 2 primary sources plus 1 secondary resource–1 of the 5 essays collected in ch. 24.
